Hillsborough County Puts Three Working Podcasters on One Panel This Friday

A county government and a credit union don’t usually co-host anything about podcasting, but Hillsborough County and Suncoast Credit Union have been running one together for months — this Friday, Oct. 9, 9 a.m., the Local Stories Live series turns to “Podcasting: The Business of Being Heard” at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center.

Three working podcasters sit on the panel: Terryl Humphrey of Failure Is Knowledge, Sky Lebron of WUSF’s The Bay Blend, and Vincent Lanci of Coming Alive Podcast Production. Tyler Adams of Hello Hillsborough moderates. Between the three of them, that’s public radio, independent production, and a self-built brand — three genuinely different paths into the same business.

Can’t make it to Palm Avenue in person? Hillsborough County streams the panel live on its own Facebook page at the same time.

Admission cost isn’t listed anywhere on the event page, which is worth a quick check before you go rather than assuming it’s free.

If a 9 a.m. panel doesn’t fit the schedule, there’s usually a running list of what else is happening around Tampa Bay that same week.

Good to know: Entrepreneur Collaborative Center, 2101 E. Palm Ave, Tampa, FL 33605. Friday, Oct. 9, 9 a.m. Also streamed live on Hillsborough County’s Facebook page.
