Mega Night Market Turns Coachman Park Into a Waterfront Asian Food Festival This August

Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater becomes a three-day Asian night market this August, when Mega Night Market brings its Asian Summer Food & Music Festival on the Water to the waterfront August 21-23. It’s free to attend, with free parking available — a rarity for an event of this scale.

Mega Night Market has built a real reputation across Tampa Bay, describing itself as “one of the largest and fastest-growing Asian night market festivals in Florida, producing high-attendance food, music, and cultural events across St. Petersburg, Tampa, and the Tampa Riverwalk.” Prior events have drawn press coverage from CL Tampa and BayNews9, and a September 2025 edition at Curtis Hixon Park was covered by student press as drawing “thousands of visitors with authentic food, cultural performances, and local vendors.”

The lineup goes well beyond food stalls: live music and performances, water lanterns set out on the waterfront, kites, a dedicated kids zone, international street food vendors, and craft and merchandise vendors round out the weekend. It’s built to fill an entire day rather than a quick walk-through — hours run Friday 5-11 p.m., Saturday noon-11 p.m., and Sunday noon-9 p.m.

Coachman Park itself is worth the trip on its own merits — a 19-acre waterfront park in downtown Clearwater that reopened in 2023 after a major renovation, with plenty of green space to spread out on between food runs.

Free entry, free parking, a full weekend of programming, and a waterfront setting make this one of the more accessible big events on the August calendar — no ticket to track down, just show up.

Coachman Park, 301 Drew Street, Clearwater, FL 33755.
