Free live music at one of St. Petersburg’s most storied venues is a good enough pitch on its own, and Dead Set Florida’s Jerry Garcia tribute Saturday night doesn’t cost anything to walk in and see.
Jannus Live’s open-air courtyard — the venue’s been hosting shows under various names since 1984, now run by Jeff Knight’s ownership since a 2010 relaunch — is exactly the kind of room a Dead-style jam band show is built for: outdoors, historic downtown St. Pete surroundings, room to move around rather than sit still.
It’s listed as a free show on the venue’s own site, so there’s no ticket link to chase down — just show up.
